Stillwater Yacht Club

Pebble Beach - Monterey Bay Area California

Overview

Stillwater Yacht Club was established in 1948 to promote yachting on beautiful Carmel Bay. Its membership is restricted to members of the Beach and Tennis Club at Pebble Beach. It is not just for boat owners, but is open to all Beach Club members who share a love for the sea.

The mission of Stillwater Yacht Club is to promote sailing, build camaraderie and community among our membership, and act as a responsible steward of Stillwater Cove and Carmel Bay.

Through our sailing programs, youth sailing camps, regattas, access to a fleet of boats and watersports equipment, social events, and community outreach programs, we aspire to accomplish our mission, foster a keen sense of belonging and pride in our club, honor our rich history and traditions dating back to 1948, and ensure that Stillwater Yacht Club remains a cherished institution for generations to come.

Stillwater Yacht Club strives to create a welcoming environment for sailors and non-sailors alike who are united by their passion for the natural beauty of Stillwater Cove and Carmel Bay. We build lasting relationships and enhance our members' overall quality of life. With a focus on fun, fellowship and adventure, our yacht club is the perfect environment to connect, socialize and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Club activities start in May with a Pier Opening Party and end in November with the elegant Commodore's Ball. Other summer activities include the Humma Humma Party, numerous Beach BBQ's, regatta events, and weekly dinghy racing in conjunction with Thursday Evening Cocktail hour in The Beach Club dining room.

Membership includes the added benefit of being able to visit and enjoy reciprocal privileges with most yacht clubs around the world.

Stillwater Yacht Club currently owns two Santana 22s, three FJs, Laser Picos, stand-up paddle boards and five Kayaks for our adult members to enjoy free of cost. Lessons are available by appointment at a nominal fee. Members may take the boats out on Carmel Bay upon demonstrating competent sailing skills.

On Thursday nights through the season there is Adult Sailing for fun, along with potluck shared food and beverages.
