Since 1999 Treasure Island Sailing Center (TISC) has introduced thousands of participants to the joy of sailing. Our mission is to improve our community and the sport of sailing by providing access, facilities, and sailing instruction to people of all socioeconomic backgrounds, skill levels and physical abilities.
We are passionate and dedicated sailors and teachers from around the Bay Area and beyond. We provide sailing lessons and water sports access to youth, adults, and people with disabilities on San Francisco Bay. We use sailing and outdoor experiential education to develop life skills and practice our values, building tomorrow’s leaders.
TISC provides affordable access to sailing and watersports to all Youth, Adults, and Families by offering a variety of sailing education and rental opportunities. Since 1999, TISC has served over 10,000 youth and adults as a non-profit business and a US Sailing Certified Community Sailing Center. We take pride in the quality of our professionally staffed educational programs and our generous youth scholarship opportunities.
TISC is open to the public, and anyone is invited to learn to sail and explore the water safely. Check out our Programs for youth and Adults here. Our Youth Summer Camp helps kids learn life skills like Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Teamwork, and we offer even more opportunities in the Spring and Fall. Groups and community organizations are also welcome! Scholarships are provided to all who meet the financial requirements.
