We provide programs that utilize the marine environment to improve the health, education, and independence of children and adults with physical, developmental and economic challenges.
The Veterans program is designed to serve disabled veterans, first responders, active military members and their families. Programs to be offered include sailing, and paddle sports, fishing, physical conditioning, powerboat rides, and community service. Programs are offered free of charge to disabled veterans and their families. Below are some of the programs offered.
Veterans Adaptive Sailing Course (ASA) - Veterans are given the opportunity to learn how to sail keelboats on Biscayne Bay. Courses start on the first Saturday of every month. This 4-week course teaches all the basic keelboat knowledge and if completed will leave with an American Sailing Association (ASA) certification of completion. Basic Keelboat 101 offered free of charge.
