Our goal is to give you the confidence and competence to safely skipper your vessel, whether it’s a SailTime yacht or a keelboat. Boating lessons are tailored for all experience levels, from first-time sailors to seasoned salt. We will help you take your sailing abilities to the next level.
We offer small class sizes (typically two to four students) to maximize helm time and accelerate your skills development. We believe that experiential education is the best way to learn, so nearly all course time is spent on the boat.
All of our instructor-captains are USCG-licensed and ASA-certified.
SailTime supports the national recreational boating education standards as recognized by the United States Coast Guard.

Whether you are a first-time sailor or experienced, we have a course that will fulfill your needs. We aim to teach you the sailing and decision-making skills required to enjoy skippering your yacht or charter vessel safely and confidently. We believe education is best learned through experience, so our courses are taught right on the waters of Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico by seasoned and experienced USCG and ASA-certified captains.
